Here is a simple checklist to help you make the most out of The Golden Cause:

Three weeks out:

• Decide on a date and time
• Contact The Golden Cause team to book in your gold assessor and invitations
• Pick the location – most events for The Golden Cause are held at home or in the office, but you can host yours anywhere
• Select the charity you wish to support
• Send out invitations – aim for around 10 guests.

Two weeks out:

• Have a dig around your jewellery box – you may be pleasantly surprised with how much old, unwanted gold you have lying around.
• Encourage your friends to do the same and collect RSVPs.

Week of the event:

• Think about what food and drinks you’d like to serve.
• Send a reminder to guests and make they all remember to bring photo ID if they plan to swap their gold
• Have fun! Our gold assessor does all the work, so there is plenty of time to catch up with old friends and clients while making some money at the same time
